Melvin Jones Lions Eye Hospital

All Lion members of our club & even the District are proud for “Melvin Jones Lions Eye Hospital” establishment by Lions Club of Cuttack. It is a great achievement & have brought Laurels & Kudos for lions of ODISHA.

Our Hospital is working very smoothly & successfully for last 20 years or so. On an average about 100 persons visit our OPD daily & on an average we perform about 200 cataract surgeries per month at present. Earlier it was 500 per month, when we were doing camp surgery also.

Today we are equipped with all modern & latest equipment to treat the patients in cataract related problems. But retinopathy surgery & diagnosis equipments could not be acquired due to heavy cost involved & lack of proper space. We hope we shall find out a solution in near future.

We have dedicated team of Doctors who are experts in their field & treat the patients with sympathy & dedication. We do also have dedicated team of paramedical & administration staff of around 50 persons who are very efficient & work oriented.

We in the Eye hospital team seek the co-operation & patronage of all our Lions members to take this Hospital to newer heights & make it a “super specialty Eye care unit” in future.
